Acid rain is wet and dry material from the atmosphere that carries a whole lot of nitric and sulfuric acids. Acid rain comes down to the earth in the form of precipitation, dust, or smoke. When acid rain touches any surface, it contaminates that area. Acid rain is caused mainly by using up fossil fuels, like gasoline and oil, burning coal and some other resources.
Acid rain spells trouble as it can kill off animals, trees, or any other life form, and scientists and researchers think it may create a lot of human health issues. In fact, acid rain can even destroy and decay old building and monuments, yes it’s that powerful. One way to reduce acid rain would be if we all would ride methods of mass transportation instead of individual cars to reduce fossil fuel consumption.
